Italians have joined the international wave of solidarity with the people of Gaza, now suffering the consequences of the Israeli bombings.

A spontaneous sit-in happened in Rome in front of Palazzo Montecitorio, the Chamber of the Deputies building, on November 16; on the same day, a rally was held in Milan, in front of the Duomo, the cathedral.

More pro-Palestine rallies were held on November 17 across the whole country. Locations included Rome, Turin, Bologna, Parma, Pisa, Follonica, Fabriano, Padua, Genoa, Catania, Brindisi and Aosta. In Genoa, the rally was also a point for collecting emergency supplies and donations (particularly medical items). More demonstrations are planned for Monday November 20 in Florence.
